Amazing Smile

The Hollywood Smile

The Hollywood Smile is a complete makeover of your smile, a complete restoration of both jaws with caps, veneers and the usual implants. People with Amazing Smile involves placing crowns on all teeth, or at least all visible teeth in both jaws, i.e. up to and including the premolars. The term comes from the film Mecca of the same name and was used to evoke the white teeth of Hollywood celebrities.

Bleach colors come in four shades on a scale of 1-4, with 1 being the lightest and 4 the least vibrant, but still completely white. In most everyday situations, it's hard to tell the four shades apart, and they can only be seen in very bright light or with a very big smile. On the other hand, patients who want to keep their natural yellow teeth can use the standard shades A1, A2, A3, B1, B2 and B3. However, these are not considered Hollywood smiles, because a Hollywood smile means bleaching.

Hollywood smile and veneer

A perfect white smile, me. H. When the patient's teeth are generally of good quality (including broken teeth, fillings, or yellow staining), veneers can achieve a Hollywood smile. A lot of celebrities will take this procedure. In practice, however, it is common for patients who wish to have a Hollywood smile treatment with veneers but do not know that their teeth are not healthy enough or that they are not properly aligned or that there are not enough veneers to wear. The premise is that all teeth, including molars, are present and aligned correctly. If this is not the case, we recommend fixing the braces beforehand.

We're excited to create a Hollywood smile for veneers because it's the least invasive procedure that can dramatically change your smile. But in reality, this opportunity doesn't come to us very often.

Achieve a Hollywood Smile with Crowns and Bridges

A more common case is the Hollywood smile created by placing crowns and bridges on natural teeth, which is a medium complexity between the use of veneers and the use of implants with crowns. We choose this technique when the patient has at least half of the teeth in healthy condition, while the other half has healthy roots and sufficient volume to be secured with crowns. In spaces where one or two teeth are missing, bridges can be inserted without major complications, but if more teeth are missing, we must insert implants as an initial intervention for more complex restoration work.
